A Penn State University student was allegedly arrested after posting a threat involving a shooting on Penn State’s campus to a social media site.

A student has been arrested in connection to an online threat at Penn State. The threat was posted anonymously on the social media app Yik Yak and described a shooting at the campus HUB at noon on Monday.

The HUB is a center of campus social life that includes various eateries and other places students meet to socialize.

The threat was posted about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police arrested a 20-year-old student who lived off campus in connection to the threat, according to WJAC.
