Target Goes Small With Main Line Store

The new brick-and-mortar location will open near the SEPTA Regional Rail stop in Ardmore

Another smaller Target store is coming to the Philadelphia area. The retailer announced Tuesday that it will open a small-format store near the intersection of Lancaster and Ardmore avenues in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

The newest small-format Target store opening in our area is coming to Ardmore's Lancaster Avenue in summer 2019.

The Minnesota-based retailer on Tuesday confirmed plans first reported by the Business Journal that a new brick-and-mortar location will open near the corner of Lancaster and Ardmore avenues, not far from the SEPTA Regional Rail stop and a short walk from the Suburban Square shopping destination.

“Our new Ardmore store will offer guests a convenient, one-stop shopping experience on the Main Line near the Ardmore Station and Haverford College. We’ll provide a curated assortment of exclusive apparel and accessories for the whole family, groceries, beauty products, and more, as well as a convenient pick-up point for online orders,” Target's Mark Schindele said in a statement. To read full story, click here.
