Comcast Considering Expansion Into Cell Service

Comcast could soon be selling smartphones and offering wireless phone service.

Brian Roberts, CEO of Philadelphia-based Comcast, said the company is considering expanding into cell service but is still "looking for a value add, we're looking for a reason that makes sense," according to Business Insider.

Giving somewhat cautious responses to questions during Business Insider's IGNITION conference in New York Tuesday, Roberts said Comcast will "experiment" with wireless and will have more to talk about in the coming year. 

Comcast is the parent company of NBC10.
