Man Shot in Neck During Robbery

Alleged gunman caught a short time later

A robber shot a man in the neck overnight.

The unidentified 36-year-old suspect robbed a 37-year-old man along W Lehigh Avenue near N 28th Street in North Philadelphia around 11 p.m. Saturday, according to Philadelphia Police.

During the robbery, the suspect opened fire, striking the victim in the neck.

The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

Investigators said that after the shooting, officers nabbed the accused gunman inside a nearby home.

It wasn’t clear what was taken during the robbery.
