Tractor-Trailer Spills Load Onto New Jersey Turnpike

NBC10’s First Alert Traffic reporter Jessica Boyington gives us an update on a crash along the northbound New Jersey Turnpike that slowed traffic Wednesday morning.

A big rig spilled its load, including slabs of concrete, onto the New Jersey Turnpike causing traffic troubles Wednesday morning.

The wreck closed all but one lane of the northbound Turnpike near Interchange 3 (New Jersey Route 168 - Deptford Township) in Camden County just before 8 a.m.

Traffic backed up for two miles, according to the turnpike, as crews worked for hours to clear debris from the roadway.

Photos from the scene showed what appeared to be slabs of concrete spilled off the open tractor-trailer.

No injuries were reported.
