New Emphasis on Rideshare Safety Following Death of College Student

A candlelight vigil will be held Tuesday in Mercer County, to remember Samantha Josephson. The South Carolina college student was kidnapped and killed over the weekend. Security video shows the 21-year-old leaving a college bar early Friday morning. That’s when police say she mistakenly got into a black Chevy Imapala thinking it was her Uber ride. Her body was found later that day. Police arrested 24-year-old Nathaniel Rowland after spotting his car near where Josephson was last seen.
