I-76 East Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Crash

A multi-vehicle crash shut down I-76 eastbound between the Gladwyne and Belmont exits. Traffic is backed up for miles and officials said the area will be closed until 6 a.m. Friday due to a downed pole in the road.

Eastbound lanes between the Gladwyne and Belmont exits on I-76 reopened early Friday morning following a multi-vehicle crash.

The crash involving three vehicles caused a pole to fall on the road near the Gladwyne Exit around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Police said there were no major injuries but traffic was backed up for several miles. Crews were able to remove the downed pole and lanes reopened around 12:30 a.m.
