A boy with autism who was found by himself in Philadelphia’s Holmesburg section Monday has been reunited with his family.
The boy was found on Walker and Decatur streets around 5 p.m., identified himself only as “Jack” and told police he had just had a birthday. Investigators say he has autism and is between 11 and 12 years of age.
After a photo of the boy was released on social media, he was reunited with his family Monday evening, police said. They credited the public for helping them find the boy's family by sharing his photo and info.
