Meth Lab Bust at Delaware Beach

2 arrested in Rehoboth for making meth

The Delaware State Police say they've arrested a Rehoboth Beach couple after a fire broke out in an apartment where they were making meth.

Troopers responded Monday evening to the Beach Haven Apartment complex on Haven Drive for a report of a fire and possible entrapment. Officials say they subsequently arrested 37-year-old Eric P. Marine and 54-year-old Susan Trudeau. Both were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and other charges.

Marine also faces additional drug charges after officers say they found a slew of prescription pills and a hypodermic needle in his possession.

Trudeau does not appear to have a listed number. Marine's father said in a telephone interview Tuesday that he was aware of his son's arrest but didn't have anything to say about the incident.

Both suspects were sent to Sussex County jail unable to post more than $37,000 bond.

Apartment residents evacuated during the fire and clean up and were allowed back into the building after an air quality check.
