Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is getting into the house call business.
The osteopathic medical school has formed a partnership with The Residentialist Group, a California-based management group specializing in the development and operation of house call programs.
The two organizations have created the Residentialist Housecall Medical Group, which features a network of specially trained doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who will deliver a range of medical services to homebound or access-challenged patients — including high-risk, frail elderly patients — in the Philadelphia region.
