Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Likes Pat's Steaks

"Traveled all the way to Philadelphia for the best cheesesteak in the land," Mark Zuckerberg said.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was in Philly Sunday night visiting Pat’s King of Steaks. Zuckerberg posted a picture on his Facebook page after placing his order for six “Whiz wit” sandwiches. On Zuckerberg’s Facebook page, it appears that he may have started a cheese steak war.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook co-founder and CEO, issued an official 'like' for Philadelphia's original cheesesteak joint: Pat's Steaks.

The 33-year-old tech titan visited the South Philly steak shop at 9th and Passyunk late Sunday to order half a dozen cheesesteaks "Whiz wit" (Cheez Whiz and onions), Pat's King of Steaks night manager Michael "Mikey" Boninfante told NBC10.

"Basically it was just the normal night after an Eagles win and next thing you know I'm calling 'next' and Mark Zuckerberg just pops up out of nowhere and orders a bunch of cheesesteaks," Boninfante said. "It was quite surprising."

Zuckerberg posted a photo of the cheesesteak stop to his Facebook page shortly after saying he "Traveled all the way to Philadelphia for the best cheesesteak in the land."

Boninfante said Zuckerberg and his crew sat at one of the shop's outdoor tables to chow down, finding out "who's the king" as Zuckerberg tried steaks around town.

"He said [the cheesesteak] was the best in town and that it was out of this world," Boninfante said.

Zuckerberg's area tour continued Monday as he had a meeting at the Iron Hill Brewery location along the Wilmington, Delaware waterfront, according to restaurant employees.
