Major Events Bring Big Crowds to the City

Thousands of people will be heading to Philadelphia for major events this weekend. On Sunday, Broad Street will be closed in sections from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Broad Street Run. Septa says 40 bus routes will be re-routed while 40,000 people race through the city. And the best option for getting around the city will be taking the Broad Street line subway. The city is also hosting about 20,000 people here for the Equality Forum that will culminate with an OUT party on Sunday in Northern Liberties. And Chestnut Hill will shut down Germantown Avenue for the annual Home and Garden Festival.
