NBC10’s Tim Furlong spoke with the owner of Boo, an African cat who has been on the loose for two weeks, who states the animal is domesticated and severely missed by its family.
An African cat continues to roam a Delaware neighborhood as its owner keeps the search going to bring "Boo" home.
Boo is not your typical house cat. Boo's owner Richard Todd said his large African Savannah cat has lived with his family for nine years.
"He sleeps with my children," Todd said.
Boo went missing nearly two weeks ago.
"He saw a bunny rabbit, and it distracted him and off he went," Todd said.
Neighbor Brandon Burns said he spotted the cat Monday morning. Burns said Boo reminded him of a bobcat.
However Todd assures neighbors have nothing to worry about despite Boo’s exotic look.

“He is not a ferocious cat in any way, he is a standard domesticated cat, he just looks different,” Todd said.
The cat got loose in a neighborhood filled with young families, right next to Forwood Elementary School.
Burns doesn’t want to take any chances.
“I have a 2-year-old daughter at home and she is staying inside 'til they catch this thing,” Burns said
NBC10’s Tim Furlong called the Delaware SPCA, who came right to Burns' house in Graylyn Crest. The team warns if anyone sees Boo, to not try and catch him, although they do not believe he would hurt people or animals.
Instead residents are encouraged to call New Castle Police if they spot the animal.
