Lincoln Drive Construction Could Slow Your Drive

The I-95 South Exit to Aramingo Avenue will be closed for nine months. A road project on Lincoln Avenue will also cause morning traffic. NBC10 tells you alternate routes to go.

Drivers using the busy Lincoln Drive should give themselves some extra time to get where they are going the rest of the month.

The Philadelphia Water Department closed one southbound (inbound) lane and the shoulder between Greene Street and Wayne Avenue at 7 a.m. Wednesday to do work where a water main was replaced over the summer.

"Proper signage will be posted alerting motorists to the restrictions ahead, but we ask that they factor this into their daily commute and possibly find an alternate route to get to their final destination," said PWD in a news release.

The work was expected to continue until Friday, Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. but could wrap up earlier, said PWD.
