Man Stabbed on La Salle University Campus: Police

A deliveryman was stabbed in the bathroom of a dining hall on La Salle University’s campus. NBC10’s Denise Nakano reports La Salle gave students an alert and placed the campus on lockdown while searching for the suspect.

La Salle University sent an alert to its students urging them to "take shelter" after reports of an alleged stabbing on the school's campus.

A Jack and Jill ice cream vendor who was on campus making a delivery was stabbed in the shoulder with an unknown object inside a restroom, the university said in a statement.

The suspect, a male in his 20s, ran from the restroom, officials said.

The victim was rushed to Einstein Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Inititally, it was reported that the stabbing took place in the Blue and Gold Dining Hall.

A shelter in place was issued to students via text alert around 2 p.m.

The alert informed students to be on the lookout for a white male in his 20s wearing a La Salle sweartshirt and red hat.

The university confirmed to NBC10 that the lockdown was lifted 45 minutes after it was issued.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
