Man Dies After Gunman Opens Fire on Philly Street

Family and friends came together to remember Justin Ruff after he was shot and killed along Belmar Street in Philadelphia’s Kingsessing section.

A gunman shot and killed a man in the Kingsessing section of the city Saturday morning.

The 23-year-old victim was on the 5500 block of Belmar Street at 11:08 a.m. when the unidentified gunman opened fire. The victim was struck in the neck, back and shoulder. Justin Ruff was taken to Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:32 a.m.

No arrests have been made. Police continued to investigate.

Family and friends came together Sunday night for a candlelight vigil in Ruff's memory.
