A New Jersey dad has been charged after police say his 5-year-old son brought 30 packs of heroin to school.
A teacher at International Academy of Trenton thought the kindergartner was playing with a candy wrapper last week when she looked in his lunchbox and found 29 other packets of the drug, police said.
The boy was taken to a hospital and tested negative for opiates.
NJ.com reports Maurice Leonard of Trenton, was arrested Wednesday night and has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
It's not known if he has a lawyer.
Details on how the boy was able to get the drugs weren't immediately available.[[373000921,C]]
