Kenney: City Budget Slammed by ‘Unprecedented' Pandemic

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said that he anticipates a big increase in costs and a big reduction in tax revenue because of the coronavirus pandemic, which will mean the administration will need to “make difficult decisions on city spending, the likes of which have never been needed before.” The city will present a new budget by May 1.
