Philadelphia’s Kelly Drive was shut down in both directions Wednesday night after a man was shot while driving.
A man is recovering after he was shot while driving on Philadelphia's Kelly Drive Wednesday night.
The 35-year-old man was driving northbound on Kelly Drive near Sedgley Drive around 8:15 p.m. when a gunman opened fire.
Five bullets struck the vehicle and at least one of them hit the driver. The driver flagged down a police officer. He was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
A woman was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the shooting and is being questioned by investigators.
Police have not yet released a description of the gunman and are unsure if the suspect was in a vehicle or on foot at the time of the shooting.
Kelly Drive was shut down in both directions at the scene of the shooting. It was later reopened.
