How Effective is Medical Pot? Philly Researchers Working to Find Out

Many people tout the benefits of marijuana as medicine, but because it’s illegal on the federal level, not a lot of research has been done around the subject. In Philadelphia, Thomas Jefferson University’s Lambert Center for the Study of Medicinal Cannabis and Hemp – the first academic resource center in the U.S. evaluating medical marijuana – is studying marijuana’s use as medicine to gather more information, dispel myths, determine effective treatments and better inform doctors and patients.
