Hot Days Ahead in Philadelphia Region

Temps likely to push into the 90s

Near record heat will continue Thursday. NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Tammie Souza has the details in her 10-Day on 10 Extended Forecast.

It's time to pull your summer clothes out of the closet.

The NBC10 First Alert Weather Teams says temperatures reached 91 degrees by 4 p.m. Wednesday, only one degree shy of the record. We could also break the record Thursday when temperatures may rise to the mid-90s.

By Friday, a cold front will move in though temperatures will still be in the upper 80s and low 90s. The front may lead to afternoon thunderstorms for parts of our area however.

As the front moves south of us, the wind will start coming off the ocean, leading to much cooler temperatures over the weekend with a high of 69 Saturday and a high of 73 Sunday. Rain will return Monday through Wednesday with temperatures in the 70s.
