Philadelphia Heat Wave Hits 1-Week Mark

The humidity returns, but is bringing in some rain during the week. NBC10 First Alert Meteorologist Brittney Shipp shows when to expect the rain in her 7-day forecast.

The heat wave should enter its seventh day as temps break 90 again Monday afternoon but the steamy weather is nearing its end.

Colder weather should be moving in midweek bringing possible storms to the region.

Some parts of the Philadelphia area could already see some rain Monday evening as “very isolated storms” possibly pop up after a day with plenty of sun and humidity, said NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Brittney Shipp.

“We will start out with mostly sunny skies,” said Shipp.

Expect temps to break into the low-90s again on Tuesday. Changes are coming as temps might not get into the 90s Wednesday as possible storms move in midweek.
