Police say a friend playing with a gun accidentally shot and killed a Philadelphia high school senior.
Investigators tell the Daily News Ivan Oberholtzer shot James Gerard Becker at his home in the city's Kensington section around 3 p.m. last Thursday.
The 17-year-old Becker was pronounced dead around 7 p.m. at Hahnemann University Hospital.
Oberholtzer, who is also 17, is charged with aggravated assault, firearms violations and other offenses.
He's jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail pending a March 25 preliminary hearing. Online court records didn't list a lawyer to comment on the charges.
The shooting happened about two hours before Officer Robert Wilson III was fatally shot during a robbery at a video game store.
Becker and Oberholtzer were classmates at Kensington CAPA High School.
