Former Bob Brady Aide Found Guilty of Breaking Political Campaign Laws

Kenneth Smukler, a former aide for longtime Philadelphia U.S. Rep. Bob Brady, was found guilty Monday of multiple charges, including conspiracy to defraud the United States. Prosecutors say Smukler helped cover-up payments made to Brady’s opponent in the 2012 congressional race to get him to drop out. Smukler will be sentenced in March.
