Firefighters Rescue Injured Woman From Burning Philadelphia Home

Philadelphia firefighters rescued a woman from a burning home late Thursday night in Germantown. The woman had severe burns.

Firefighters rescued a critically burned woman from a Philadelphia house fire late Thursday night.

The flames broke out around 11:30 p.m. in a home along the 300 block of Upsal Street in the city’s Germantown section.

Fire crews arrived to find heavy fire burning at the home, said firefighters on the scene. They were able to get inside the home and rescue a woman who was trapped inside.

Medics then rushed the woman to the hospital in critical condition with 2nd- and 3rd-degree burns.

The cause of the blaze remained under investigation Friday morning.
