New Jersey Lawmakers are considering a bill that will make driver’s licenses expire on a driver’s birthday. Right now, licenses expire on the last day of the month every four years causing a backlog at the end of the month.

The Democrat-led state Senate approved the legislation on Thursday, 39-0. The measure changes driver's license expiration dates from the last day of the month every four years to the driver's birthday.
The legislation got final legislative approval after the Republican governor suggested the change last year as a way to ease wait times at the state's MVC offices.
The change was among a number of recommendations, including the elimination of online transaction fees, that Christie proposed in response to customer service complaints.
The Democrat-controlled Assembly approved the measure 74-0 in December. [[238427591, C]]
