Parents Run Out of Gas, Baby Dies in Pennsylvania Parking Lot

Police investigated the death of a 6-month-old who was found unresponsive in a car in western Pennsylvania.

KDKA-TV reports the girl was found in a Baden parking lot on Route 65 on Saturday.

The baby's parents told police they found their child was not breathing.

They say they tried to take the child to a hospital but ran out of gas. Authorities say someone drove them to a convenience store where they called paramedics and police, but nothing could be done.

The results of an autopsy performed Sunday came back inconclusive. More tests will be needed to determine the cause of her death.

Police say the couple was arrested on bench warrants unrelated to the child's death.
