Truck Strikes, Kills Man Walking Along New Jersey Turnpike

NBC10 First Alert Traffic reporter Jessica Boyington shows SkyForce10 over the scene of a deadly crash along the New Jersey Turnpike northbound in Hamilton.

A 25-year-old man was struck and killed while walking on the New Jersey Turnpike.

State Police Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams said that Masud Mustafa, of Chesterfield, was hit by a white box truck while walking on the northbound side of the highway in Hamilton Township, Mercer County -- between Exits 7 and 7A -- around 4 a.m. Monday.

As SkyForce10 hovered overhead, the left truck lane of the highway remained closed Monday morning as crews investigated the deadly incident.

Williams said the driver of the truck remained at the scene and charges aren't expected.
