A little boy was rushed to the hospital after being impaled on a piece of furniture inside a home in Havertown, Delaware County, Pa.

The victim, 3, fell inside a home on the 1400 block of Robinson Avenue, according to authorities.

A woman who lives at the home, who asked not to be identified, tells NBC10 that the boy was bouncing on the bed when he jumped off and impaled his left cheek -- just missing his eye -- on a sharp hinge of a dresser.

We don't know the extent of his injuries.

The boy was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with the handle still in his cheek. The woman who lives in the house says the child is expected to be OK.
