Murder Charges Reduced in Rittenhouse Square Killing

A first-degree murder charge was downgraded to third-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter charge against Michael White. The college student is accused of stabbing and killing Philly real estate developer Sean Schellenger during an argument near Rittenhouse Square last month. White’s family says the encounter was a case of self-defense.
