A 7-year-old boy struck by a pickup truck while riding a scooter in Lancaster County has died.
Lancaster Newspapers reports that Reuben King of Gordonville died after he crossed a road near an Amish school on Friday morning.
State police say the 68-year-old driver had seen the boy on the shoulder before the boy crossed in front of him at about 7:30 a.m.
Authorities say the driver tried to resuscitate the child, but he died at the scene in Leacock Township.
