Bensalem Terminates Substitute Teacher's Contract Amid Allegations of Groping

A Bensalem substitute teacher’s contract has been terminated after the teacher was accused of inappropriately touching a student earlier this week.

A substitute teacher suspended this week after being accused of inappropriately touching a student in Bucks County worked in another district a day after the alleged incident, NBC10 has learned.

A 17-year-old female student reported that the substitute teacher touched her inappropriately in a wood-shop room at Bensalem High School on Wednesday, according to authorities. Bensalem Police got the case on Thursday after someone called the state's child abuse tip line.

Officials also said that the school-resource officer was not made fully aware of the incident.

The district says the substitute teacher's contract is now terminated, and the agency the teacher was hired through is investigating.
