Firefighter Injured, 6 Units Damaged in Bensalem Apartment Complex Fire

Bucks County fire officials evacuate residents living at the Country Commons Apartments in Bensalem, Pa. after an early morning fire destroyed several units Thursday.

A firefighter was injured while battling a fire that damaged six apartments in Bucks County early Thursday morning.

The fire started about 2 a.m. at the Country Commons Apartments in the 3300 block of Richlieu Road in Bensalem.

When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke and flames billowing from an office/rental space at the complex. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in a short amount of time.

Fire officials say one firefighter suffered a minor injury.

Six apartments, along with the rental office, were damaged.

The cause remains under investigation.
