Police responded to a reported barricade situation in West Philadelphia Tuesday night.
Police say they received a report stating an armed man was barricaded inside a home on the 5300 block of Haverford Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. Officers and a SWAT team surrounded the home. When police went inside however no one was there.
Police have not yet revealed whether the report was unfounded or if a suspect inside the home fled. They continue to investigate.
