Amtrak Unveils Locomotive Dedicated to Veterans

Amtrak will announce a new train dedicated to anyone who served in the US Armed Forces. The train will have a red, white and blue color scheme. It will be revealed in Wilmington on Monday.

On Monday, Amtrak unveiled a new locomotive that is dedicated to anyone who has served in the United States Armed Forces.

The event, which was held in Wilmington, introduced the “Veteran’s Locomotive 642,” which Amtrak officials say stands as a company-wide tribute to all those who served in the United States Armed Forces.

The locomotive features a red, white and blue paint scheme, 50 stars, and a specially designed logo with military campaign service ribbons.

The locomotive will operate along the Northeast and Keystone Corridors. It will operate alongside 70 new electric locomotives.
