Mark Twain once said the reports of his death were greatly exaggerated -- a sentiment Atlantic City wants Philadelphians to know can be said about its own status.
In response to the headline-making news of the Shore resort's decline, a byproduct of the recent casino closures, Atlantic City’s marketing agency has launched four campaigns aimed specifically at, and starring, Philadelphians.
"That’s the imagery being evoked by the headlines. A lot of the time, people think a casino is closing, therefore, there’s no business," said Liza Cartmell, president of the Atlantic City Alliance. "The reality is far from that. We’re at 95 percent occupancy." Read full story here
