Atlantic City's fire chief will collect nearly $13,000 a month in retirement even though surveillance video showed him dropping his pants at a security checkpoint.
City officials have decided not to release the results of their investigation into the March incident in which a woman working the metal detector said Dennis Brooks, the head of Atlantic City's Fire Department, dropped his pants when she asked him to put anything metal on the table.
She claimed the chief said he was "having a bad day.''
An attorney for the woman, Sebastian Ionna, told NBC10 last month that his client had not yet decided if she would file a lawsuit.
"She was appalled," Ionna said. "She was just in complete shock."
Brooks was placed on administrative leave amid the sexual harassment allegations, but retired on April 1. He joined the fire department in 1979 and served as chief for more than 8 years.
His annual pension is nearly $221, 000.
