The movement to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples Day will be highlighted in Philadelphia. The effort to change the focus of Columbus Day have been a movement in recent years. There was an anti-Columbus banner in Penn’s Landing over Christopher Columbus Boulevard that said “Columbus Did Not Find [Blank].” Meanwhile, Italian flags lined up at the Columbus Day parade.
