At least two people were shot on a New Castle County street around 9:30 Friday night. So far, police have no suspects.
A triple shooting late Friday night in New Castle County left one man dead.
Police found 23-year-old Gene Malone on the 600 block of Windsor Street, Wilmington, around 9:30 p.m. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and rushed him to Christiana Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities located two other victims, ages 24 and 18, on the 600 block of West 6th Street with multiple gunshot wounds to their legs.
Officials also transported those two men to Christiana Hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
Shortly after police arrived on the scene, a large crowd of bystanders gathered. The group became unruly, leading to resisting arrest charges for one person. An officer suffered a minor injury while dealing with the crowd.
An investigation into the shooting is underway. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorites.
