2 Drivers Die in Delaware Wrong-way Crash

Delaware State Police say two drivers are dead following a fiery crash on Route 1.

State Police say two vehicles collided after one of the cars traveled in the wrong direction down the northbound lanes.

A 37-year-old man was pronounced dead at the accident scene south of Dover and the 28-year-old driver of the other vehicle died later at Kent General Hospital in Dover. State Police say the accident occurred shortly before midnight Saturday. An 11-year-old passenger in the Toyota driven by the 37-year-old victim was taken to Kent General and later flown to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia.

State Police say a Ford Mustang driven by the 28-year-old driver was traveling in the wrong direction on the highway.

The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
