Police identified the men who were shot and killed on the basketball courts in North Philadelphia

A shooting erupted on a basketball court, feet away from a playground, as a group played. NBC10’s Aaron Baskerville offers more on the incident as two men dead, while two other individuals are in the hospital.

Two men are dead and two others were injured in a shooting in North Philadelphia Friday afternoon.

Police responded to reports of a shooting at 800 Diamond Street on the basketball courts and found four people who had all been shot, police said.

Two men were shot in the head and medics pronounced them dead at the scene.

Police identified one victim as 22-year-old Nyreese Moore and the other victim as 24-year-old Naasir Folk, both from Philadelphia.

The third man, a 23-year-old man who was shot in the stomach, was transported to the hospital and placed in critical condition. The fourth man, a 22-year-old man who was shot in the head and the left leg, was found at 2000 N. Franklin Street was taken to the hospital and also placed in critical condition, according to the police.

Police said that the men were gathered with a group of people on the basketball courts and five males began shooting.

At this time no arrests have been made in this incident and there is no further information from authorities.
