Calcium Supplements Could Increase Heart Disease Risk for Older Women

A new study found that the calcium supplements many women take to protect their bones could increase the risk of heart disease and stroke in older women. Temple University Hospital cardiologist Dr. Sara Sirna says there is no question the study sends up a red flag, but that every patient is different when it comes to risk factors and that more research needs to be done before women toss out calcium supplements.
