Wednesday's Child: Ladirah

The 13-year-old longs to come out of foster care

Ladirah is shy teen who dreams of being a part of a loving and supportive family.

After college she plans to go to law school.  She hopes to advocate for young people who have experienced similar life experiences as her.

As she develops into a young lady, she desires parents to provide direction and a stable environment.  She calls her ideal family committed and caring.

During an outing with Vai at the Montgomery County Courthouse, the 13-year-old got a chance to take a tour of several courtrooms and take in their rich judicial history.

District Attorney Risa Freeman gave Ladirah a brief lesson on how the law works.  Ladirah was also impressed with the line of women who became trailblazers in the field of criminal prosecution.

Ladirah’s other interest include modeling, dancing and sports.

She longs to come out of foster care and into the arms of a forever family.
