Skate Like the Pros at Citizens Bank Park

Citizens Bank Park and the Flyers host public skate as part of Winter Classic Week.

NBC10’s very own Justin Pizzi, showed off his ice skating skills or lack there of, at Citizens Bank Park on Friday. For those interested in skating on the Winter Classic ice surface there is good news, it will be open to the public! Click here for more details.

The Flyers and the Rangers won’t be the only ones out on the ice at Citizens Bank Park.

If you’ve been dreaming of gliding around on the same ice as some of your favorite hockey stars, you are in luck. On Jan. 3 and Jan. 7, after the battle between the Flyers and Rangers, CBP and the Flyers will host hour-long skating sessions for the public.

Tickets are $60 for adults, $50 for children (children under two are free) and $10 for a non-skater spectator pass. Skate rentals will not be available, so make sure to bring your own skates. Non-skaters will be allowed around the perimeter of the rink and photos will be permitted.

Here are the public skating session times:

Tuesday, Jan. 3, 7 to 8 p.m. and 8:15 to 9:15 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 7, 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.; 11 to 12 p.m.; 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; 7:45 to 8:45 p.m.; and 9:15 to 10:15 p.m.
