Puffin Calls

Why are these kids making strange noises? They’re actually imitating the unique call of the Puffin bird at Springside School in Chestnut Hill. Dr. Stephen Kress, a scientist from the National Audubon Society and Cornell University, was at the school to teach students how to imitate the call and to kick off Pennies for Puffins, a fundraiser to raise money for Puffins in Maine. Puffins are sea birds that fly, swim and dig burrows.
