Murder Suspect Tries to Run Over Police With Car

A suspect tried to run over police in his vehicle after they ran his license plate and realized the man was wanted for murder. No one was hurt but the suspect got away.

A murder suspect is on the loose after trying to run over police officers in Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

Officers approached a car -- which had a murder suspect inside -- on the 2600 block of Elbridge Street in the city's Frankford neighborhood around 3 a.m after responding to reports of a shooting.

As the officers got closer to the vehicle, the suspect tried to run them over before fleeing the scene, officials said.

There were no injuries to police. The suspect remains at large.
