The blaze in Warwick Township was made even more dangerous by the weapons and explosives found in the aftermath of the fire.

A man and a woman were killed in a Chester County house fire overnight.

The fire began shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday at a one-story, ranch style home on the 2400 block of Harmonyville Road in Warwick Township.

When firefighters arrived the home was fully engulfed in flames. They were eventually able to bring the blaze under control.

Once inside, officials found a 64-year-old woman and 67-year-old man on the first floor of the home. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have not yet revealed their identities.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials don’t believe it’s suspicious however.
