A Fresh Take on Letter Sweaters

In honor of the Phillies' opening day last week, we found it only fitting to shoot a segment with the Philly-based sports apparel company, Mitchell & Ness. We met up with the Manager of Design and Product Development, Sondra Murphy, who gave us the inside scoop on Mitchell & Ness' new spring line.

Throwback styles are in: the spring collection is chock-full of vintage logos, color-blocking, and retro details (think contrast colored zippers and felt lettering). It looks like our opinion of the new Head Coach Cardigan ($85) was right on target: the spring 2011 style has quickly become one of the company's best sellers. Murphy tells us that the tailored fit of the cardigan and the Fastball Henley ($50) have made both pieces popular with the ladies; she advises going down a size or two.

From left to right: the Pinch Hitter Track Jacket ($125) over the Fastball Henley ($50); the Underdog Windbreaker ($90); and the Head Coach Cardigan ($85).
