20 Millionth Visitor

The Independence Visitor Center in Independence National Historical Park celebrated its 20 millionth visitor since the doors opened in 2001. The honors went to the 5th graders from the Colgate Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland as they were arriving for their class trip. All visitors received a complimentary gift package, Philadelphia gifts, free lunch and much more. Mayor Nutter delivered the welcoming remarks and greeted the students as they arrived.
