City facing at least $14K fine for failing to obtain permits to install electric vehicle chargers

Since 2018, the city has been purchasing electric vehicles and chargers in support of its ‘Clean Fleet Plan.’ However, the NBC10 Investigators found that the city failed to obtain permits for those charges and is now facing at least 46 violations, totaling $14,000 or more in fines.
